I Can't believe we don't have one of these. If we do, go ahead and erase the this post, and put it in the other thread that talks mainly about the Archie comics, yea, btw, this is about the Archie comics, (in case someone here confused it with Fleetway, you'd be surprised how often that happens)

and if you don't actually own the comic of topic or have a subscription, just look it up in youtube (look for SonicComicWorld's channel) just don't go around the web telling everyone im advertising for him, could cause legal complications.

So to start this off, have you seen! Sonic an Sally are getting back together! (yay) as akward and sudden as it seems, but thats just it, as much as I know they should be able to get back together pretty quick, it really happened over 2 issues...a little to quick I'd think but whatever i guess, get money now outweighs creating good story these days in any comic book doing as well as this one or worse.
That and that Geoffry St.douche, I know he was interested, but (even in midst of Hershey character ownership issue) is still into Hershey, hell, he's MARRIED to Hershey. Now unless she got dead, and he just figured (Screw it, im going back to Sally) or something like that then whatever, thats just bad writing. Or!, If he's actually what I think, and some sort of magical clone of a past version of Geoffry St.John (hence the old attire and grudging love of Sally) then BAM! a nice twist with a side of "WTF? where's is the real Geoffry+Hershey?, and how long have they been gone and where?" ...yup
-btw- I believe this book held the best Ixis Nuagus drawing, in book, ever.

as Archie is (as well as Sega) mostly composed of a board of corporate assholes, so yea bug them about that! start DEMANDING and stuff...oh, and I did tell you about the youtube guy. right?

It has come to my attention that Ian "Potto" Flyn is one of either two things when it comes to what he's been doing to the Sonic Comic fiction.
1) He has been told to change up things so much, so they will have a better connection with the games, while still having an original storyline, with the original characters, more or less.
or
2) He has been dismantling the Sonic Universe/Logic under his own will, for the sake of making the comic his own work, instead of the collective Storyline/Universe that it once was. In which case, that officially makes this nothing but a great big FanFiction! derived from what was the coolest Sonic storyline ever!
in either case, it's stupid.
First he has to kill off some random low profile characters like Tommy, and Antoine's father.
Then he has to change up the logic in story arcs, such as the future series, he pretty much wrote it all down and claimed it to be another Zone which is bull! he only did that because he didn't begin to write the story arc, it wasnt his, so he trashed it.

this is something thats been pestering me for a while, and with the occurrence of Hersey's apparent death, I mean, It could at least be a mind trick on St.John, but if she really is dead, this is the absolute worst way to kill off a character, EVER. (with her not even making an appearance for a long time, and then off in some other part of the world, she drops dead with no explanation as to why.)

...I wonder if Ian Flyn loves that he is hated by the hardcore Sonic comic fans.

Umn.. The thing about the Archie-Sonic Comics is that I only started reading around issue 112. But, that WAS several years ago. Which number are you up to now, that you're commenting on? I haven't gotten my local dose in quite some time- I did manage to snatch the latest issue several months ago: 212... I have very little idea of what's actually going on, why Sonic is suddenly OBSESSED with Eggman's base, that Nicole has her own corporeal body (I had a hint of it in one of the previous comics and was super extatic.. Would've liked to see the comics where she made it a permanant reality..) And am overall rather lost. =/ there aren't any comic stores out here in the boonies..; 

My last successive comic was probably around number 180 or so. Back when Sonic and crew were at Angel Island, fighting against / Alongside Lien Da and her band of ... mechanical-whatever-they-were, and the Sub-Arc M25YL (Mobius, 25 Years Later) ... can't remember if Scourge happened after or before that or not...

Scourge is in one of the comics out this week ;D

My limited knowledge of the entire series is mostly due to the comics not being sold here, but I do have a good few issues =) It's a shame really most of the games don't tell as many interesting stories as the comics, you'd think they'd at least coincide once and a while!

you'd be surprised at how stuck up SEGA is with the video game version of Sonic.
so much, in fact for the past few years SEGA has been making the writers follow closer to the games, see they didn't want to make the games relate at all to the comics, but the comics (even when there story was obviously superior and on a win streak) have to relate more to the games! (COMPLETE AND UTTER BULL SEGA!! WTF!)

Anyhow, I think someone at SEGA got a little pissy because when the writers were originally doing "tie-ins"* anyways (*>a plot basically involving or making connection with the games, just with a creative twist to fit the world they've built so far) but that mustve not been good enough, or they couldnt take that the story in the games could be made better using a resource from America. (I bet they cringe of the thought XD )
SO, what they did was make the writers change the ALREADY existing world of Mobius, and make it more like the games!
(the only business strategy I can see here is that they want more Sonic fans to be able to jump into the comic without having to know too much about the story...but then it kills it for the ones whove been reading it since issue#0 cause they start killing off non-game characters, and often the non-game charaters don't get spotlight time anymore...its bull.

anyhow, recently they've been doing good, just concentrating on Mobius! and The Comic! and not about how SEGA tells them to tie in game series! (well...except for this weird genesis thing...in which in the issue before it started, Sonic was being the biggest retard I've ever seen him be...and I know if the original writers had been involved, Sonic woulda been acting like the 19 year old he is and kill the robot and stopped playing with it...and this all got Sally shot in the back apparently.) other then that, it's going okay with Sonic universe.

(also)
if they are deciding to do what I predicted one thoughtful night, and really separate the basic comic and Sonic universe..then I'll be so ticked.
I think they want to make it so the basic comic will ALWAYS be ONLY about the current Sonic video game, and Sonic universe will only be about Mobius and it's characters...that would be so Lame! cause Sonic Universe was only meant to give more insight to the Sonic Universe! and the base comic is Sonic and friends current adventure!.. while SonicX is just weird.

this issue looks awesome, I wonder where Scourge will go if he escapes though, they'll be looking for him in his zone, and they'll probably do the same in Prime zone...so where do they go? and how would they even get out? Gotta see!

And Strike, I understand (mostly) what you're talking about.. And it's sad to hear they've been fighting about plot of late. =/ My more favorite arcs are the ones that don't involve game at all, though when i was REALLY on fire for the blue dude, the Chaos arc that surrounded the plot of Sonic Adventure (Crying Chao) was SO amazing.. X3 loved it.

0o; So gotta' ask this of anyone who knows - Once they found out that Antoine was actually the BAD Antoine from Scourge's dimension, how were things righted? I think.. THINK.. that the real Ant proposed to Bunny, didn't he..? .. geez I'm so outta' the loop.. @@; Also, what major arc happened AFTER that? The last memory I have of a comic was of Sonic sitting on his bed, strumming his guitar and some.. some odd lady coming to Knothole to create problems.. I think she had green hair.. maybe. Snivley liked her.. I think. 0o; darn my Swiss-like memory...

all Segas fault...they want to be in control of the entire thing, even when there was a good thing going here for a long time. It was set in stone, and some guy at Sega broke that stone.

Shadow story came next, which was actually great, made Shadow look less emo, and like someone wanting to get some answers! even when they incorporated stuff from the games, they made it all seem like something new, and believable (more in-depth).

next story arc was a Metal Sonic takeover (which design-wise was Neo-MetalSonic from Heroes) which turned out to be a replacement for Sonic when he was presumed dead, built by Rotor and Uncle Chuck...but something went wrong, and they rampaged throughout Mobotropolis, and started their way to destroy Eggman, but he got away.
Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow combated these robots, but Shadow did something and disabled all of them.
this arc went for 158 and 159.
neat story.
also this was a sneak-peek at what "anonymous" can do, which was messing with Eggman for while.

(sad realization, and at the risk of sounding like a crazed schoolgirl who's life be devoted to animes and stuff making fan stories and couples...so basically my little sister)
the fact that Ian Flyn killed the future series kinda kills my fanfiction to... Embarassed Chao

I never had this one, but the one before it. and that was, like, my 4th ever. (I had previous ones all the way from 146...but I bought them 1 by 1, and sometimes I didn't get to the store in time.
