I unlocked the Sonic Boom music track, and expected to never take it off. But it was a total cop-out. They just looped the first few lines and the chorus. It is EXTREMELY repetitive. D=
Actually, so are the "Friend" challenges. Said friends only make about two or three sounds each and they do so annoyingly often. (although IMO, the Friend Challenges should have just put you in control of the respective character instead of just treating them as a tool for Sonic. >=C )

Also, the first boss battle was shit. I actually found Hard Mode (read:normal difficulty) easier than Normal Mode (read: easy difficulty) - possibly in part due to experience, but also due to the placement of the bombs. The first phase was funny because he'd jump over me, I'd kick his hiney, then he'd jump onto his feet again, giving me enough time to get under him and knock him on his arse again immediately. CX
The second phase was so terrible (at least in Normal Mode) - there's only one bomb location you can be expected to get on top of his arm with a reasonable chance of success.

I hope the bosses pick up a bit in challenge, because from the two I've fought (Metal Sonic and "Death Egg Robot" [they srsly could have come up with a better name than that, it's not even a robot]), it seems to me that their "Hard Mode" should have been the default difficulty. I suppose they want little kids to be able to beat the game too - you can see evidence of this written all over it.

The Skill system threw me a bit - RPGs, in mah Sonics?

yea, im sure it's for kids and stuff, and those are the first bosses out of
(spoiler) 4...yea, 4 main bosses, and 3 rival minibosses.
Im still not sure what changing to hard mode does yet...but so far all the bosses react the same and crap.

also, about the "Skills" I didnt even waste my time, I was kinda hoping something would happen making it difficult to advance without buying one, to make me wanna buy one...but it never happens, all I bought in my first playthrough was the Sega Genesis controller and Infinite continues...although im bummed as why the controller would cost as much as it did, and there being only the first Sonic game playable...seemed pointless, but I guess they wouldnt wan to soil people chances of actually BUYING the other Genesis games off the market or something.

on my little quest to get everything though, I found those skills kinda useful to be fair.
my favorites so far is the accelerator, speed boost, and athleticism.

oh...and some really cool ones for Classic...but I really want you to find those out for yourself...your really gonna like 'em.

If you meant the Thunder Shield, then fkyeah!
It was hard getting used to only bouncing once with the bubble shield, though. X)

Accelerator is a pretty useless skill, since you can only use it in Act 2, where you can just Boost anyway. >=/

EDIT: Today I beat the game, and was thoroughly let down by Super Sonics.
It takes up the entirety of your skill equip, and all it does is make you invincible, give endless boost (which you can get as a separate skill anyway, in a form that doesn't drain rings) and make you hover slightly above the ground while boosting. And little Sonic doesn't boost, so all he gets is invincibility. Waste of effin' rings and skill slots - I could just use a Thunder Shield.
